Volunteering at Walford Mill Crafts

Walford Mill Education Trust Ltd is a registered charity, based in an historic former mill building on the northern edge of Wimborne, East Dorset – Walford Mill.

Being a Charity, volunteers are needed to help with everyday running of the Mill, whilst supporting the local creative community, across all demographics and ages.

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic volunteers to help with various different aspects of Mill life.  Activities that volunteers could have the opportunity to help out with include:

  • Operational support within the Mill, such as assisting creatives setting up exhibitions

  • Supporting events in meeting and greeting the general public, providing information on the Mills background and fielding general enquiries

  • Helping with the upkeep of the grounds of the mill, such as tending to the lawn area and garden plants and pots.

  • Helping on plant swap events

  • Supporting onsite makers with site wide events

  • Aiding supervision on site at festival, theatrical and marketed events

  • Photography and Social Media material (including PR)

  • Providing Industry insight to new and developing artists and creatives

  • Helping out at evening events and promotions

All skill sets are valuable and appreciated!  We are a friendly bunch, so please get in contact if you would like to know more.
