Experimentation is at the heart of Wendy's artwork: taking an idea and seeing where it takes her; trying not to prejudge the outcome; and, drawing on techniques from previous unrelated work.

Painting, printing and stitching work together to create artwork. She particularly likes working with paint and introducing threads and wools. Sometimes, the painting even goes under the sewing machine to be stitched together! The results can be unpredictable but she likes the stitching lines and the extra texture created.

Recently, Wendy has become addicted to hand sewing on collages of fabric and paper.
