Manda's work is inspired by the ever-changing colour of the seasons and light in the Dorset Landscape mainly around Poole Harbour.

She works in water-based oil, watercolour, gouache, oil pastels and oil pastel pencils. When she is outside she draws with pastel pencils and in the studio, works from drawings and photographs.

Her work is organic and often once started has a life of its own. She trained at Bournemouth Art College in the 1970s and taught Art for Bournemouth and Poole Ault Education.

She captures the light, colour and feel of being outside in her paintings.
