Simon Meanwell-Ralph

In his work Simon enjoys creating kinetic jewellery that constantly changes shape as the wearer moves their body - developing a playful relationship between the piece and the wearer.   Much of his work has a sense of drama about it - almost a life of its own, and Simon encourages people to interact with the jewellery in order to investigate the possibilities that each piece can give them.

Each unique piece is created using hypo-allergenic stainless steel wire combined with vintage beads to add colour, light and additional texture to the work, often exploring extremes of either repeated patterns or chaotic randomness.
